Eligibility Status

The student must be 10th pass from ICSE/CBSE/ or any other similar boards with average passing marks scored in the previous examination.

Subjects to be offered

Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance (BAF) and Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management (BFM) are 3-year full time degree programs introduced by a number of institutes. University of Mumbai has introduced the above courses from the academic year 2003-04. However, leading institutes have adopted the course as recently as 2007 – 2008. Both the programs are spread over 3 years consisting of 6 semesters, leading to a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance (BAF) or Financial Management (BFM) as the case may be

The Bachelor of Commerce degree is designed to provide a student with a wide range of managerial skills while at the same time, builds competence in a particular area of business studies. Most universities therefore, plan the degree such that in addition to their major, students are exposed to general business principles, taking courses in accounting, finance, business management, human resources, statistics, marketing, economics, information systems. Other established business schools have strengthened their programs by requiring business students to also take introductory calculus at the undergraduate level as part of the degree program.

BMS: Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) is a three-year undergraduate program that offers advanced studies in the field of management that are necessary to run an organization efficiently. It also provides in-depth knowledge of human resource management, economics, and business studies.
